House and Home

Anniversary!

This April 29th, Jenny and I celebrated our first anniversary. It was awesome. We had decided a while prior to the day that we were going to take a trip somewhere. That trip evolved to be a train trip, and we were then debating between New York City and Chicago. They are both about the same distance (time-wise) by train. The trip to NYC would be in the daytime, though, and we’d be going through Horseshoe Curve. That did it for me. 🙂 Jenny hadn’t been to NYC or Chicago, and she was excited about both. She eventually decided that NYC was the way to go. Tickets were reserved, hotel rooms booked, and off we went. We took a long weekend, leaving Pittsburgh on Friday morning, and returning on Monday evening. While there, we did a lot of walking, saw “Avenue Q” on Broadway (my first ever show in an actual Broadway theatre), walked around Central Park, walked around a few stores, walked up and down all sorts of streets, walked around Rockefeller Square, walked, and, oh yes, we walked some more. Our hotel was near Herald Square, and we had a great time two nights just sitting there and watching the city go past us.

For all of that walking, one would think that I’d have a pile of pictures. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t all that cooperative, and we were busy spending lots of time talking and just enjoying the trip, so I didn’t get as many pictures as I might have hoped. Here are some of them, though. Enjoy.

Pictures!!!

Jonathan does a lot of stuff. If you ask Jenny, maybe he does too much stuff.
