The Living Room Begins

I started boxing-up odds and ends and moving furniture out of the living room today.  This was preceeded by moving stuff around in the dining room, which will become our temporary living room while we’re working.  I think I’m just about finished for today, though.  Tomorrow, the rest of the furniture is coming out, the TV is moving, and the “radio nook” (my wife likes to call it that–it is my small ham radio “shack”) is moving.  I think I’m going to have to decommission the shack while we’re working on the room, as I can’t figure out how to move it easily right now.

I want to take some before pictures after all of the furniture is out.  Unfortunately, I couldn’t help myself, and I removed a bit of wallpaper where the fireplace used to be.  I couldn’t wait to see what was under there.  Now it has me thinking, and it is time to have something for dinner.  More tomorrow (and pictures!).
